For August 2020 I’m planning a ballet retreat at a castle 50 minutes south of Copenhagen.
During two days we get the opportunity to dance and have a castle all for ourselves (except staff), have ballet classes in one of the beautiful rooms, relax, socialize, have sauna out in the open and enjoy the Danish landscape. Weather permitting it, there is also the possibility to book glider scans tour.
The castle is called Jomfruens Egede and has ancestry from the 14th century. The décor is in 18th century style.
The second evening will be dinner with Masked Ball, and the theme is to dress up to match the environment. There will be two different levels of ballet classes, one basic level and one more advanced (except for the last day due to the schedule).
So, beginners starting this semester are welcome to sign up.
Companions who do not dance are also welcome to stay and can join us in Pilates/Callanetics and Mindful Bodyness.
For those who do not know me, my name is Bétina Marcolin. I have been a Soloist at The Royal Swedish ballet, and I am currently teaching in my own studio in Stockholm. I am also trained Pilates, Callanetics and Mindfulness instructor. Dance and movement have been my profession for 35 yrs.
The classes will be held in English, French, Danish and Swedish. J
